An Introduction

Welcome to The Edmondson Blog.

There are quite a lot of us Edmondsons out there, running around, doing this and that. And we are all over the Internet. But as far as we can tell, there's never been any real attempt to establish a blog that focuses on us. Bits of news, trivia, and various odds and ends from around the globe... all with an Edmondson stamp. If you're one of us, welcome aboard!

According to the 2000 Census, there were 13,107 Edmondsons in the United States. That worked out to almost 5 of every 100,000 people in the country. That made Edmondson the 2,528th most popular surname, out of over 150,000. Not too shabby...

The goal of this blog isn't to be a comprehensive catalog of Edmondsons around the world. That's quite impossible. We're just going to post the interesting items we stumble across, which involve the Edmondson name. There might be multiple posts some days, and sometimes days or weeks between posts. This is, after all, just for fun.

Oh, and if you're looking for Edmonson, Edmundson, Edmunson, Edmonds, or other variations... you're out of luck. Of course, we'd encourage folks with those surnames to start a site also. The more the merrier.

Now... let's get to know some of our fellow Edmondson brethren!

Haven't read every post - but do you have Donna Edmondson, the former Playboy Playmate. She falls into a branch of my Edmondson's. And we have one who inheirited a LOT of land from his deceased wife and the children of Benjamin Harrison mangaged to steal it all away. If you write to me at nightphyre@gmail.com I can give you details.
